These Basic Skills Clinics are being held to introduce girls to the wonderful sport of women’s lacrosse, a stick and ball game that uses 12-player teams. Each player must master the basic skills of catching, throwing, cradling, and scooping the ball while in motion. The object of the game is to shoot a five ounce rubber ball into your opponents’ net while preventing them from doing the same.
Choose to come to one clinic or all four! You may register when you arrive at the clinic. Both the parent and player need to sign an insurance waiver at the time of registration. Women’s lacrosse is a non-contact sport. As with any sport, injuries can occur. The most common injuries with women’s lacrosse are bumps, scrapes and bruises; but just in case, we must have signatures for both the parent and player.
